Laba Holdings Limited (LHL) was established in 2009 as the representative umbrella landowner company for the customary landowners of the PNG LNG Project plant site, and surrounding buffer areas. Laba’s purpose ON establishment was to participate in commercial activities originating from the downstream component of the PNG LNG Project construction from 2010 to 2014. During this period, Laba supplied local labour, transportation security, catering and other project support activities/services. During its’ early life, Laba was managed by Bechtel Corporation.
